jeff_henderson 0 Posted April 22, 2005 I was driving past the old Chi-Chi's restaurant earlier today and when I was done with work I went back in the evening thinking I was going to get some multi-colored geometric shape type color detail shots but wound up with this instead. The moon was visible before the sun set this evening but not full so I replaced it with a shot of a full moon that I had on hand. All comments welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking. ceaselessbliss 0 Posted April 22, 2005 The moon looks too unnatural, I would let the architectural beauty be the focus. Great colors, Who knew chi-chi's would have so much style. Link to comment

apotheker 0 Posted April 22, 2005 I find the light & colors the strongest part of the image, most specifically the light & shadow. Would be curious as to what the original moon looked like, as perhaps it's not being full would have introduced the element of anticipation. The one point that first caught my eye, & bothered me, was that the forground corner of the building leans to the left very slightly & is not parellel with the right edge of the image. From your statements...you tend to return to a locations to pursue an effect...IMO this speaks highly of your eye & sensativity to the situation. (I always like it when i venture out thinking i will find one thing only to find another.) Link to comment
barreira 0 Posted April 22, 2005 The colors, composition and originality are really great. Anyway, I'd prefer it without the moon. Congratulations. Link to comment
jeff_henderson 0 Posted April 22, 2005 Thank you for your feed back everyone. It has been very helpful to me and a few things that have been pointed out to me as flaws will be addressed. Thanks for taking the time to comment and I appreciate the kind words, also. Jeff Link to comment
James Kazan 17 Posted April 23, 2005 Jeff, You have a great eye. I really like this shot. Good lines, color and contrast, the blue against the white. Truth is I could have done without out the PS moon but it still is a wonderful capture. Thanks for sharing Jim Link to comment
patflynn 0 Posted April 23, 2005 I realized this was a composite because a totally full moon is never so high in the sky at the time of day that provides lateral light. The full moon always rises at dusk, at or after sunset. Nonetheless it's a very evocative image and I like it as it is. Maybe I'd brighten the moon a little to echo the white of the building? Just a thought. Great image - it would even work for me with no moon at all! Link to comment

davidmccracken 2 Posted May 1, 2005 Like a ball bouncing down the steps. Composite it may be but it shows imagination. As others have said..... you have an eye! Link to comment
labuenaluz 0 Posted September 12, 2005 Image and light play, this one is of my favourites from your excellent and original compositions, rounded full moon and straight architectural lines just get together fantasticaly, regards Link to comment
sray1 0 Posted April 26, 2006 I would have gone to 7/7 for this if it hadn't been manipulated... I'd love to see the original shot some time! Link to comment
