Whyers is in the dress

Mike. i like this moment captured a lot. However, lighting seems to be a little dark but the detail is held nicely in the white dress. With these situations, most of the time i go BW becaue this kind of contrast produces a realy eye-poper. See my posted version (Hope you don't mind) and let me know what you think.

Not really sure what I feel about this. I don't like the fact that her face is turned down like that or that she looks like she's about to pinch her self. I feel like I'm invading her privacy.

Certainly a different view for a wedding photo. Not sure that it is a moment that I would capture at the weddings I shoot though. Technically the lighting leaves it a little flat to me and the focus is on ..... what? I'm not sure.

LOL. When I first looked at this I thought that perhaps she was being fitted for her dress. Is she showing you how they made it? LOL. What an amusing moment to capture on the 'big day'.

 

I like the light on it too.. and good detail in the white as someone has mentioned.

I agree, I like the B&W & I came this close to posting it as such. Changed my mind at the last moment.

I should've said in the comments that this wasn't taken at the wedding . She just got this out of the box & was trying it on. She's a beautiful kid, but I think she'll be needing those wires come the big day. C.C.

Mike, I hope you are going to take a lot of photos on the big day, you have two really good ones already.

Beautiful. A little dubious as to what I think of the b&w version. I was shooting weddings on an SQA when I was 15. I'm 38 tommorrow, ah well.

funny, awkward moment

Funny picture. Of course the wedding shooters will criticize it, but that's because they don't get it.

I must say that this is one of the good images I have seen. The moment captured is very natural and true. Its not framed up.  Bravo!!!
