I know that bird, and I am chasing it for years to photograph it. So I know it is hard to capture it like this (In belgium this woodpecker is rather rare)

That's a female Pileated Woodpecker - and I'm one envious S.O.B.! VERY nice - first one I've seen on this site, and it's certainly an image to be proud of. Congrats!

Yes the Pileated Woodpecker (Largest Woodpecker there is I believe) is a very rare Bird in these parts where I am. I think I have only seen one in the last 10 years. I would love to get some pictures of one. The one I did see took off as soon as he saw me. Nice picture.
