The tight framing works magic, for me, in conveying a huge feeling of energy which is being liberated, here. This is helped by the mid-air position of the bird, not touching water at all but clearly not completely airborne yet, and the wake of drops behind the feet.

I appreciate the lighting and I am fascinated by the reflection and the way it is also all in the shot and with enough ripple to make it abstract and still preserving much of the shape of the bird.
