The twelve apostles photographed from the standard viewpoint in the sumptuous plum coloured light of twilight. It is vital to ensure your position doesn't cause the sea stacks to overlap and lose their shapes. Soft twilight allows just the hint of detail in the cliffs and stacks to take it out of mere silhouette. Please feel free to visit my website for some other recent uploads, Transient light, There are some superb new shots at Timecatcher too.

The sumptuous plum coloured light of twilight assures that the stacks

are not silhouetted from this very familiar viewpoint.

This is a very nice take on one of Australia's (justifiably) most photographed locations, Ian. I've never shot there myself, but I wonder whether it was possible to move a little to the right to get some more separation between mainland and the closer apostles?
