Landrum Kelly 65 Posted May 16, 2005 Thank you, Angel and Juan. Margaret, I am still shaking my head that you think that the background was artificial. Franciso in his long post (in a section that I did not translate, paraphrase, or summarize) described the background in a way that is exactly what Juan has shown--a bluff over a river basin. When one considers that, in addition, it was taken in fairly early morning light, and thus that the hue could vary depending on the time of day, I see no earthly reason to dispute these gentlemen when they say that the photo was made in the wild. If you are still a doubter, Margaret, may I direct you to Angel Pulido's photos of the setups used for these kinds of shots? They will make a believer of you. O, ye of little faith. . . . Otra vez, Francisco y amigos, gracias por sus esfuerzas y por una foto bellisima. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted May 16, 2005 Here are Angel's photos of some of the setups he has used. These guys really work hard to catch birds in the wild! http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=442899 Link to comment
