mcgarity 0 Posted April 15, 2005 I am going to suggest you crop it to eliminate the sky completely. It has no detail and really subtracts from the rest of what is a very lovely scene. I think the bottom portion has outstanding colors and saturation. The sky does not. I give this a 5/6 like this. If you cropped out the sky it would be worth much more. If you just have to have the sky however I would suggest copying the background layer and using a layer mask to mask off everything but the sky. Do a Guassian blur of about 10 pixels to the mask and set the blending mode to multiply. Thats what I would try. I would also bet it won't do much good. The best thing to do with a situation like this is to shoot in RAW mode if you are shooting digital. Shoot two frames, one for the foreground and one for the sky. Then blend them in photoshop. If you don't know how to do that email me and I will send you the process. Its quick and its easy. You could have made this a 7/7 doing something like that. Link to comment
