Very nice indeed Jim~ the soft colors in the background compliment the crisp foreground colors beautifully! This ought to be exhibited in a gallery.

There is nothing much to say except that it's one of the best images I have seen so far. I loved the contrasting sharpness of the foreground and the bit of fog in the backgound. The autumn colors are also just stunning. Well done.

I really like this one a lot. It puts you there. You can feel the dampness and smell the leaves in the air. Love fall but hate what follows, specially here in Mn.

Thanks for the look and kinds words on my photo.

Hi Jim

Your work is beautiful but this is still my favorite shot. Still hoping to visit in the fall sometime. Picture Perfect!

This is truly a beautiful photograph. Wonderful color and composition. I am just curious....where are your other photographs? Others commented about photos that I can't find. I would love to see more of your work.

Thanks for your comments on my pictures!

I was up in Todd, NC a few weeks ago and saw this photo at the general store. well, not this one, but one close to it, and really wanted go, but didn't have time. Really nice work (first getting up the parkway during leaf season) and second getting the near still water reflection on a perfect diffused light day. many thanks for your kind words on my work. take care my friend. J.K.

Jim--This is my favorite shot of your current portfolio. Having grown up in VA, Mabry Mill shots are nothing new to me but this is one of the best I've seen. This shot has a lot going for it. I love the colors and the framing with the tree branch and wooden fence are superb. The reflection in the calm water is great and the distant fog makes this shot really unique. My one bit of constructive criticism would be the green vegetation on the far left--in my humble opinion I think a composition with more of it included or it cut out would work better. Right now I feel like there is just enough to distract my eye without being enough to enhance the shot. I do think having the fence post included is a positive so I may vote to include more of it. Regardless, that is being picky--this is an absolutely great shot and I'd love to have it in my portfolio!

This is what I would call the Perfect photograph

Looking at all of the technical elements here, specially the well balanced exposure, DOF, Composition and colors, the only word fit this image is been called "The Perfect Photograph"

I love the mists so common in your neck of the world. The details of natural framing make this a particularly interesting shot.

This picture has such a relaxing feel to it...it almost looks like a painting that came to life!

Must have taken a bit of preparation to frame it just right...such a nice photograph.

Congratulations!
