jeremy freeland 0 Posted April 14, 2005 Very atmospheric. Like the heavy duty contrast, the emphasis of light on the tree trunk, and the decision to keep the tree close to the center. Link to comment
beebe 0 Posted April 14, 2005 Powerful sky and framing of tree. The tonal constrast of the grass and tree also work well. Link to comment

luranda_roos 0 Posted July 7, 2008 Awesome I love B&W with high contrast, was it with photoshop? That thing rocks. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 7, 2008 Obviously it's a very dramatic image, and a fine photograph, but the brightness of the trunk (the bright spot in the center of the photo) somehow makes it feel unnatural to me and spoils the effect. I would like to see it processed in a more naturalistic, less photoshoppy, way. Just an opinion. Regards, Mead And congratulations on a great shot. Wow - I just checked out your portfolio. Great portfolio. I love your landscapes and the way you've processed them. So many gorgeous shots. I'd have to see a print of this present image to see if my critique is valid, or if it's just a computer screen/digital imaging issue. Link to comment
