salvatore.mele 1 Posted May 13, 2005 Kamchatka is still a little photographed place and -to me- has a strong feel of adventure altogether, I would like to see it a day. These shots of yours really convey the atmosphere of a far and somewhat primeval land. This one, among the best of the folder, I like for its composition: the rock in the foreground on that patch uncovered by snow is very good in anchoring our view and giving some sense of scale and the way the foreground snow triangle is parallel to the slope of the background volcano is very pleasent. In this respect, it might almost get boring and the middle peak is good in breaking all the symmetry of the shot giving it lots of rythm. Link to comment
