louise bridge 0 Posted April 9, 2005 Olympic motif street lighting fixture in Toronto's historic Greek neighborhood. The hoops are for flowerpots. Link to comment
louise bridge 0 Posted April 10, 2005 Thanks Nicolas for your highly civil assessment. I'm not sure what a "civic abstract" is exactly but it sounds like a fitting description of this image to me and I'm glad if you think this is a nice one. I think this is the only neighborhood of Toronto to be favored with blue and white light fixtures. Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted April 10, 2005 Sorry for the confusion Louise;- CIVIC: "Of, relating to, or belonging to a city, a citizen, or citizenship; municipal or civil" I ment that you made something nice out of something quite functional and ordinary! Regards, Nick. Link to comment
louise bridge 0 Posted April 12, 2005 Well, the sunlight was shining through the neon "frond" and I have never seen these lamp fixtures look anywhere near as pretty before. Link to comment
doug_cooper 0 Posted July 13, 2005 Well spotted and captured, you saw something original in an every-day object! The framing feels a little tight to me though, it would be nice if the image were a little more open around the subject. Still a great capture. Link to comment
