nicholasprice 0 Posted April 9, 2005 The Radcliffe Camera, is part of Oxford University's Bodlian Library. The pomp and grandure of these buildings is remarkable when one considers that they are an architectural celebration of the written word! - Please offer critiques. Link to comment
fivetonsflax 0 Posted April 9, 2005 A friend of mine spent a year at Oxford, and I saw this building in person and in her photographs. Your photograph was instantly recognizeable. It's a gorgeous building. Kudos to you for getting out of the architect's way and simply presenting this landmark in all its grace and solidity. Good exposure, good framing, crisp bright colors ... very very nice. Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted April 9, 2005 Thanks Alix, nice to have your artistic insights. Thanks Ben, I had a dear girlfriend who lived in Oxford, so I spent a lot of time there, and although I have always seen it as "the other place", I fell in love with its beautiful architecture. Regards, Nick. Link to comment

Todd Kowalski 2 Posted April 10, 2005 Nicholas, This is absolutely a wonderful image. You captured it well. I like the perspective and the sharp crispness of everything in the frame. Bravo! Cheers, Todd Link to comment
ricardo navarro 0 Posted April 10, 2005 Most good things I had in mind about this photo have already been said above, I would only add that I very much like the colour contrast given by the grass, as well as the fence in the foreground ... so actually I would like to see a bit more of it. Perhaps stepping back (if at all possible) would allow this together with some reduction of the steep perspective, possibly for the better. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 10, 2005 Nick the comp here is superb. Looks like out of Yellow submarine of monte phython art...England somewhere...looks very English lol. Lens choice and cropping show excellent O.... Very slight nit pick is that centre fence rod should be exactly dead centre to the viewer in this pic anyway, to be congruent with the dynamics. The sky right top has too much cyan i think...thats bit more serious, but not end of the world lol. Very good i love this one. 6/7...ah edit...i think it needs a rotation right about 1 degree Nick...just that may be the prob...these are hard to level. Link to comment
