brian_e 0 Posted November 28, 2001 I'd appreciate comments on: How does the cutoff boat affect the composition? Should the background be more interesting? Should I crop to just the boats? Thanks very much for your input. Link to comment
jiun_woei_tan 0 Posted November 28, 2001 Hi, personally , i think you should crop out the background, as it sorts of draw the viewer away from the main point(boat). The cut-off boats do not really have any significant on the picture. Link to comment
alex_lau 0 Posted November 28, 2001 I guess it is "different stroke for different folk". I totally disagree with the previou post. I think the background is very pleasing and complimentary to the main boat. I think if you can arrange the angle or the boat to be along with the other ones, the picture is a lot cleaner and less distracting. I like the color tone of the picture. The soft white of the boat is not a wash out and retains a lot of detail. The background sort of makes the foreground subject stands out. Over all, a good picture. Link to comment
david_rifkind 0 Posted November 28, 2001 The boats on the right don't bother me, but the one out on the lake to the left does. It interferes with the flow of something or other. Link to comment
shaun perry nz 0 Posted November 28, 2001 For my two cents worth, I think that the boat in the water on the left hand side should be removed, and if you could have taken the photo without the other two boats to the right of the main one it would bring more focus to it. The background I am fine with. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted April 30, 2002 I think all three boats are just fine, in fact I like the shot just the way it is. Link to comment
