griffin cahill 0 Posted October 16, 2001 This is the first photograph I have posted here. I am really curious about what other people think of it. I took it at a cross country course right by where I live. I was wondering what you thought of the color, composition, whatever. Everything is appreciated. Link to comment
imaginator 0 Posted October 16, 2001 Crop the dark area towards the bottom. This will make it more of a "panorama" style. Link to comment
bob_k 0 Posted October 16, 2001 Putting the horizon in the middle makes the photo flat. You can see the added depth by cropping out either the bottom dark part or the top sky right above the trees. I was tempted to suggest cropping out the dark bottom, plus the empty right side; but I think cropping out the top (I'd do it below the bright ball even if it means taking out the top of the first tree) makes for a more interesting picture showing a dark wide expanse (at twilight?) mark newcombe www.mcnphoto 0 Posted October 18, 2001 Looks great Griffin, again I have to agree with cropping the bottom a little, shame about the power lines in the background but its a great shot all the same. Keep posting, well done. Link to comment
