Guest Guest Posted April 7, 2005 I like this idea, but would like to see one of the two images in the middle with his head down a bit, to help balance out the photo. Preferably the one with the blue shirt and bare forearms. Link to comment
gdw 0 Posted May 19, 2005 David, I am the naysayer again. I disagree with Sarah. This is a cocky, self assured young fellow-or at least that is the image his posture projects. A guy that shaves his head, wears leather pants and shoves a Hasselblad in an art directors face, is not someone that goes around hanging his head. I think this is a great idea for a self portrait-it can project different aspects of personality or, as in this case, intensify an aspect. I would love to steal this idea except that I am pushing seventy and it would take a panorama to get four of me in the same frame. Cheers! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 10, 2005 Being the argumentative person that I am (heehee), I have to posit that having his head cocked to the side does not lessen the "I am badass" vibe that pulses from this image. What we see here is one guy, who is as tough as they come, in essentially three different positions. I maintain that a fourth position would make this photo a gem. This character wants to be individual, even from himself... if that makes sense. =D Link to comment
