maria conversano 0 Posted April 5, 2005 Sorry, i can see, on the top photos page, that yoy have 3 rate of 7;7, but, now, i wont to rate for you and, for me. is impossible because do not exist the "rate" section How can i do? Link to comment
johncrosley 1 Posted April 5, 2005 This photo certainly is timely, given the goings on in Rome and the Vatican, but shows no relationship whatever to those events at all, and could have been taken at any time in the last decade or so (unless the modernity of the street lamps gives away the age of the image). I am curious how this rather ordinary night image, which would rate no more than average, happened to get stuck at the top of the ratings queue with 7/7s, and then the ratings choice no longer is available for those of us who might want to rate. This is not mean-spirited in any way, nor does it suggest any under-handed dealings, but this is not a 7/7 photo by any means, current events or not -- it's just a workmanlike photo of a well-known landmark near which world events have focused, without any known other link to those events. Mark me curious. John (Crosley) Link to comment
saddleboy 0 Posted April 6, 2005 I believe this photo would probably go unnoticed, at least by me, if it was'nt the fact that it is stuck in the TRP. Nothing personal, i visited your portfolio and i think you are a better photographer than me but i think THIS picture does not belong in the TRP page. Sorry. Pascal Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 6, 2005 Perhaps this pic caused the jamup on the TRP...call a wrecker! Link to comment
andreas_weber1 0 Posted April 6, 2005 What's going on here?? If the rating system doesn't work properly anymore, then I will rate right here: Aesthetics: 3 ----- Originality: 3 Link to comment
KenPapai 37 Posted April 6, 2005 A rather average and poorly composed photo. Why is that light post place smack in the center? I'd rate this 3 and a 3. Link to comment
ken dennis 0 Posted April 7, 2005 I think 3/3 would be a generous rating, and no better! Link to comment
johncrosley 1 Posted April 8, 2005 I think it's unfair to blame you for the jamup on the Top Rated Photo page, although one wonders how this photo garnered 3 7/7 ratings before the jamup froze that page. I agree with the others who commented, that this is a rather ordinary photo, and certainly far from a 7/7 photo. But I note that some 'bot gave my photo some '7s that were removed as unearned, and wonder if the same thing didn't happen to you, causing others to unfairly 'brand' you and call you names as above. My remark above was meant to ask a question only, not to make an accusation. John (Crosley) Link to comment
