maurik 0 Posted April 4, 2005 Lucky indeed. Quite beautiful the way the colors work in this photo due to the neutral yellowish background. Was this a captive bird? The eye could be a little sharper to make it even more stunning. Link to comment
jim_trombley 0 Posted April 4, 2005 There is no saturation to the colors in this image. The beak should be a bright orange/yellow and the head should be white rather than have a gray tint to it. The brown on the shoulders is dull and flat looking. Since no catch light appears in the eye, I'm guessing that natural light was used. I believe that much could have been done to improve this image. lumir 0 Posted April 5, 2005 If one lives around DC area, there is no problem to see a bald eagle. To be sure with success, just visit Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge, Mason Neck State Park, Blackwater National Widlife Refuge, Black Hill Regional Park, Patuxent Research Refuge, Brighton Dam or other places. In any of these places we saw everytime this wonderful bird. I have many pictures, but everytime from far away. This picture I shot at Meadowside Nature Center near Rockville. This bald eagle was injured on his wing and has no chance to survive in the nature, so now is in the captivity in cage outside. The picture I shot on day light and as I am nature lover, I keep in my memories what I saw and this is way my picture is unmanipulated. I appreciate very much suggestions of Jim and Maurik concerning improvement of this picture. Thank you very much. On my picture you can see exactly what nature offered me. Link to comment
