pjmeade 12 Posted April 4, 2005 Nick, this is such a fun shot, it's a beautiful capture. Congratulations. Pete Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 65 Posted April 4, 2005 Very nicely done, Nick. Is the guy on the left offering them a camera so that they can document the appearance of the man of steel? Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted April 4, 2005 No lack of cameras in that picture! I want a hat like that ;~)) Link to comment
pulok 1 Posted April 4, 2005 Nice documentary shot; I think the guy on the left is offering other members a camera so that they can capture the particular thing (?) quickly as they don't have enougn time to take out their cameras. Link to comment
a. a. 1 Posted April 4, 2005 Very fun with nice composition. The colors are a bit too saturated and the image is a bit too soft but beside that, great image. Cheers Misha Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted April 4, 2005 Thanks everyone for your comments so far. Thanks Misha, I agree about the colours and the "softness" of the image, but these are the drawbacks of Lomo Photography. I thought about making adjustments in photoshop, but thought that I would stick with the honesty of the "out of camera" image. Regards, Nick. Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted April 4, 2005 I'm getting much more interest in this than I ever expected, so I've decided to post it for critique to see what the wider population think - all comments welcome as usual - Regards, Nick. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted April 4, 2005 So Watson, the location is at the bottom of Whitehall, or perhaps Parliament Square around the Treasury building, I would guess from the grills and the bus. Time looks to be about midday from the shadows. They are looking up and to their right meaning Westminster Abbey? Churchill's statue? A passing no. 24 bus? The girl on the right looks as though she's past caring. The Lomo looks a really cracking camera, easily a match for the Holga. (A great shot, Nick, with just the right element of the absurd about it!) Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 5, 2005 Interesting shot. I like it cause it doesn't look contrieved....but does...its weird. Maybe sharpen 1 step more? And like to see that top right truck thing go somehow but ratio may get lost if crop... Link to comment
alexandra rauh 0 Posted April 6, 2005 classic Picture, could hold still for ever. Like those famous after the war pictures.very good catch. alix Link to comment
yatish 0 Posted April 24, 2005 great shot. It really seems to tell a story, specially the person on the left. Focus seems a bit off though. Looks like the roof at the back was where the lens was focused. Link to comment
