Hi James. Just happend accross this folder and was curious to know what you thought of Pentax's digital camera. I have a ton of K-mount lenses and I am considering getting an *istD. Any comments / comparisons / words of wisdom to offer ? Thanks. Wayne.

Wayne, I can only give a biased opinion. The Camera is the most expensive thing I've ever bought that could be carried away; and it was money well spent. I like the character of its images, and the ergonomics are superb (I'm very keen on hyper-program / hyper-manual so I don't feel the need to get a DS).

If you have Pentax lenses, being able to use them is a huge plus. The ground glass screen isn't really meant for manual focus lenses, and exposure setting with non-A lenses requires a button press. Still this was taken with a non-A manual focus lens ...
