A Deer Grazing In Spring Grass

This is an incredible photograph. . . probably the best I have ever seen taken of a deer. . the rim lighting, the soft impressionistic background, the stance and that fluffy tail all work beautifully together. .

My husband and I just last weekend walked to this same site where the deer once stood.

Today I still cannot believe how far away the deer was from me.

Also how it first came towards me, then posed before it left.
