Hannah and Molly II "Cocker Spaniels"

Just part of a pet photo session on a Saturday. Hannah and Molly are

very well mannered subjects. If you leave a low rating at least have

the decency to explain. We are all here because we love photography

and are always trying to improve. Thank you. Dave

Dave; It's a lovely shot of two lovely dogs. As always with dogs, composition is a challenge, as is lighting, especially with one light and one dark dog. This is a good job.

In terms of post process editing, I'd suggest a couple of things for you to consider. First, this is exactly the kind of shot that benefits from a fair amount of burn & dodge work, mostly to bring out the eyes and hair highlights. I'd also think about upping the EV a bit on the dark dog, as well as a little less yellow in the overall image. Finally, I think a slightly tighter crop on the sides would help "push" the dogs together visually. A quick, rough example is attached.
