gil a 0 Posted April 1, 2005 Nice light and expression! Would be even better if the feet were fully inside the frame Link to comment
antonbar 0 Posted April 1, 2005 Gil, I felt the same way about the legs. The problems is that it's not a crop. The feet are actually outside the frame :( Link to comment
ivan_dzo 1 Posted April 1, 2005 Nice pose expression and lighting. the rose however is hackneyed and distracting. I'd also burn in the top left a little and next time include her feet. Link to comment
antonbar 0 Posted April 2, 2005 I appreciate your comments. I guess both of you are right. Link to comment

kaurlass 0 Posted April 3, 2005 She is pretty and picture is original. She only seems to wait for someone or something. Missing closeness. So the title could be better but still it does not change the fact that the picture is truly good and lovely! Link to comment
dan_griswell1 0 Posted April 3, 2005 While I agree that sometimes "out of frame" hands and feet can be degrading to an image, I think your framing of the girl makes that small mishap all but vanish. The lighting is great! I wish I could achive this at home with my kids. Was this done using ambient light from a window, or did you utilize artificial lighting as well? I don't usually pry, but I'd love to hear how you lit this photo! Link to comment
antonbar 0 Posted April 4, 2005 The lighting was simple actually. Mainly it went well because of the position of my appartment. We have a very good natural light from a large window in our salon. I caught my daughter siting there resting after the kindergarten. Then I put a huge clear metal tray on a table in front of her and aimed it to her face to make the shadows smoother. Fortunately, my kids are used to their father being nuts and playing all the day long with cameras and stuff, so she didn't pay too much attention to my activity. Link to comment
