nicholasprice 0 Posted March 30, 2005 Another eldrich image Ned, but not as strong as your first Doll's House photograph. I think that it is the light that is remiss, or perhaps its just that living rooms are instinctivly more aesthetic than bathrooms! Like the garlic, the candlestick is an incongruous boon! Guest Guest Posted March 31, 2005 Interesting idea and nicely executed. Somehow the whole frame is too busy. The shadows lack detail and midtones lack body. May be a little adjustments of curves brings out more detail. Sharpening I think will ruin the mood of the picture. Smooth and subtle tones are creating a lovely mood in this picture. Kind regards. ned1 0 Posted March 31, 2005 Zafar, that is indeed better. I'm going to rethink my lighting setup before I do more of these. And yes, I did over-sharpen it. The candle wound up looking like a cut-and-paste job, which it was not. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 1, 2005 The photo has a very nice feeling and mood to it. Lighting is so soothing and tones are subtle and that candle doesn't seem to fit anywhere. I think selective blurring or a soft mask will do the job nicely. Kind regards. Link to comment
paperfenix 0 Posted April 6, 2005 Very nice details but I suggest a little more contrast in order to see more details in shadow areas. Link to comment
