chris_yuen 0 Posted March 26, 2005 I am wondering if anyone can give me suggestions on how to improve on this BW photo. They were 2 photos stitched together. Normal Lens with ND8. No Tripod. F10.9 1/30. Thanks for any comments and suggestions. Link to comment
2Oceans 224 Posted March 26, 2005 Chris I enjoyed seeing this image. From a constructive point of view I find the upper right side of this image is completely blown out and the left side has detail and form that attracts my attention. For that matter the lower middle and lower right area is also very interesting. I would try to isolate those elements. Thanks for sharing this image. Andy Link to comment
jessica_chavez 0 Posted March 26, 2005 Two pictures stitched together? I'd never have known the difference! Beautiful shot. 7/7 Link to comment
chris_yuen 0 Posted March 26, 2005 Thanks for the constructive comments. I also noticed that the top right was all white with no details. It is truly too bad that the mist from Niagara Falls is very robust. I watched a documentary on the formation of the mist. It was claimed that the construction of new buildings had affected the aerodynamic of air flow surrounding the falls, and so the mist has become progressively more visible. In this sense, I did my best to avoid the mist, but if I crop out the right hand side of the photo to avoid that misty spot, I will lose the snowy/icy rock as well. Is it worth it to lose that rock? -Chris Link to comment
