Rotting Artichoke

4 light set-up. Each flash fired seperately then mixed in GIMP.

Teaching myself still-life and looking for feedback.

The lighting is too harsh and the front left lamp is from low and left, makes a very unusual underlight. It would be better if you had used a diffuser on a lamp from the top right and softened the effect and just added a fill at the camera at one half the main light strength. The focus on the artichoke is soft, you have the focus back in the frame. Something like this requires about f16 to f22. The cropping is bad too. The table front is shown, and hot lighted, and the items on the rear left and most of the background should not be shown.
