sef1664877429 0 Posted March 23, 2005 Its a nice shot, but I might tidy it up a bit. There's a lot of foreground which isn't really doing much for the composition, so a little cropping might be an idea. It could also do with being rotated about 1 degree to the right, and possibily, if you're not against such things, cloning out the lamp post. I'm also finding the border overpowers and distracts too much from the picture. You could use that extra space to make the picture bigger. On the plus side, its generally a good composition, the colours are rich and warm, and when I finally saw the man( the picture's small upload size almost works for it, as it delays seeing the figure), it brought a smile to my face. Almost reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock's famous silhouette. Anyway, its very nice, just needs a little trimming. Link to comment
r_e 0 Posted March 23, 2005 CR: So the double "LL" is principle :-)) You know that I am convinced spontaneously by the colours and the structure. Although very sensible against persons at architectual themes - even with an "absolute" character, I love the little black man, nearly abstract... STEPHEN - I would rotate it as well. But I am not sure about your cropping. Unfortunately you changed the frame too so that its not easy to compare the two versions. The original has more space ... And be careful, you are watched by Avatar Oesterly*. (Me too, I am sure.) *see comments on ME's portfolio Greetings RE Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted March 24, 2005 I love the colours, blue & golden. Agree with R E that the loaded version give one more space. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted March 25, 2005 I tend to agree with RE that the foreground adds space. However may I suggest you need to fill the foreground with something more than you have there - it is rather bare. This will emphasise the space and make the shot look more 3-d. Link to comment
