Gold fringed pool

ian cameron

I'm putting together a Scottish calendar for 2006, a sort of lets test the water approach this is one I am considering for November. Photographed at the Inverpolly reserve on an Autumn afternoon with amber sunlight cutting a swathe across a little pool, reflecting the inky blue sky above in its peaty waters. The loch is fringed by dripping gold birch trees and rusty orange bracken it is all the more vivid being backlit by the warm light. Pentax 67II, 55-100 zoom, F22 at 2 secs, Velvia with a backed off polariser to partially saturate the colours. Your opinions are appreciated. Please feel free to visit my website for some other recent uploads, Transient light, There are some superb new shots at Timecatcher too.

A possible November contender I am considering for a Scottish

calendar I intend to produce. Hope you like it. Your opinions are

earnestly sought good or bad but please append your reasons.

Thankyou Patrick, I am very pleased with it. This certainly loses a bit in compression both in colour and pixellisation but I must admit I thought it might have generated a little more interest. C'est la vie.
