Mt Burgess

kkwan

Shot in fast changing, overcast light f/8 on tripod. Emerald Lake is absolutely gorgeous at sunset, another must for visitors to Banff and vicinity. I liked the patterns of the bands in this shot. Good thing the wind was cooperative. Uploaded: Oct 11, 2001. Colour-balanced, dodged and burned version uploaded Dec 11, 2001. A part of my "Stroke of Light" presentation.

The light coming through the clouds created what I thought was some

really interesting patterns on the mountain. The silhouetted trees

lack details but there wasn't much I could've done about it. Any

comments or ratings are very welcome. Thanks!

I agree. The dark trees set the mood. The shadows chasing themselves across the landscape is very beautiful. Nice work.

I think, the most amazing thing about this picture is that you can see the rocks under water in the foreground. I love it.

I am with ya Juaini. That is what keeps my attention in this piece, I am still trying to find out where the cloud reflections end and where the rocks begin in the water. Excellent seperation of subject with the trees. It is perfect as is.
