Splendid isolation

ian cameron

Previously I posted "Stark" the same landscape, but that was taken with a medium telephoto and used compression of the elements to form a composition, this has an entirely diferent feel to it. I personally have no preference of one over the other, but I would be very interested to hear your views. In this the tree has been kept deliberately insignificant to emphasise the remoteness of Rannoch moor Glencoe, Scotland. That tree is one of only two on this vast empty area. The other is equally scrawny and in the middle of a loch on a small island. Please feel free to visit my website for some other recent uploads, Transient light, There are some superb new shots at Timecatcher too.

An isolated tree deliberately rendered insignificant to emphasise the

desolation of Rannoch moor. The soft warm light lifted the colours

in a very gentle yet satisfying manner.

I like it. The golden color goes well with the blue sky. Nice touch with the small tree.
