This is really quite a lovely picture, Janet, but there's something about it making me feel a sense of imbalance. It wasn't immediately clear as to why - I had to download and study it carefully, and frankly still puzzled, but I'll give it a stab anyway.

The image feels right-heavy (to me) which goes away when mirrored. This is illogical, and might have something to do with perceptual psychology which I have little understanding of. Secondly, I think the lack of a clear (table) surface boundary adds to a sense of weightiness, although I haven't tried to create a more defined border. Finally, the texturing is very nice; perhaps it'd be more complementary had it not been overlayed directly including the subject but only to the background. I'm actually of two minds on the final point - the blend of the darker flowers into the background is quite pleasant
