william_linzenmeyer 1 Posted March 31, 2005 This is a nice composition although I would like to see the bird closer. Couldn't you get him to come in and smile? ;-) A couple of suggestions. The focus is a little soft and the color cast is not very pleasing to me. I adjusted the levels and used USM to sharpen a little. I hope you don't mind. Have fun, Bill Link to comment
jen_stone 0 Posted April 3, 2005 Of course I don't mind, any advice is helpful. Unfortunately, this was about as close as I could get (this was already cropped from the larger picture), all I had was a zoom lens I think about the equivalent of a 100mm telephoto. Link to comment
william_linzenmeyer 1 Posted April 3, 2005 Heck.. the water doesn't look too deep... next time, wade out there and get close! LOL.. ;-)Or maybe ask for a nice big tele zoom for your birthday..? Nice shot anywayTake care, Bill Link to comment
jen_stone 0 Posted April 3, 2005 It wasn't deep at all, but I believe it was some sort of state park, and there were shells and jellyfish and other living things everywhere so we were supposed to stay in the kayak. I probably should have tried to get closer though, in retrospect..but thanks for the advice, it was helpful =) If I go there again I'll definitely bring a longer lens Link to comment
