troy_snow 0 Posted October 11, 2001 I was doing portraits for this couple and was actually in the process of setting up for the next pose. I had just taken the RB off the tri- pod when I looked up to see the husband giving his wife a loving kiss. I quickly put the camera to my eye and captured this candid moment. I later cropped the image to show just the hands and body language. I love the image but, wonder what others might think or do differently. Thanks for your time. Troy Link to comment
charles dias 0 Posted October 11, 2001 Very beautifull photo ... I liked too much the highlights and deep shadown contrast ... the pose transmits passion, erothism ... that kind of sex mixed with love ... your know that photo to have a big white bedroon wall just for it. Would like too much to see more photos of this series. Link to comment
c_m. 0 Posted October 11, 2001 Sometimes, the best photos are those that are not planned. Well done!!! Link to comment
imaginator 0 Posted October 11, 2001 Great candid, although I find it somewhat confusing... if one lets go logical thinking ( and trying to figure out what's what), the image does definately provoke feelings and emotions! Subtle, but moving... Link to comment
leif_rudd 0 Posted October 12, 2001 The hands say it all. The people are familiar to each other, but still very much in love. I could see the same thing, but expressed more strongly, if it were cropped to show just the man's hands and what (diagonally across the 2d plane) is in between them. Link to comment
scott_eaton 0 Posted October 12, 2001 Since the people in the photo were probably paid models pretending to be a couple I really can't bring about much emotion. Artistically it's nice.... Link to comment
troy_snow 0 Posted October 12, 2001 I thank you all for taking time to comment on this image. The couple in the image loved it, as did I, but, it was important to me to get a non-biased opinion. As for the request for a viewing of the rest of the series... Though beautiful, I'm afraid that the images will never be seen outside the couple's home. This was a very special and private moment for them and I have given my word that it will stay that way. (They agreed to allowing this one image because no faces were showing) To Scott, first off, thank you for writing. Second, I can assure you that they were not paid models and, in fact, were quite nervous. Troy Link to comment
