Cary, Magnificent image! Superb colors in the hawk and pines. Shimmering light. Sharp where it needs to be...blurred where it needs to be. Love how the wings cup the wind...you can almost hear and feel the powerful wingflap like a parachute opening. Great capture! J

Beautiful shot. How many individuals have you been shooting at this location? This is definitely the kind of situation where it pays to invest in the right equipment because you know the shot is guaranteed, and it looks like you're right on top of things! Better than your POW. I wonder how difficult it would be to secure a stuffed squirrel in those branches?

I see potential images and they are always so far away, hawk in tree, soaring eagle... and yet you got close, just wonderful. In a blind, long lens, both? great job.
