Daytona Beach waves

Would appreciate your opinion on this photo, it took a long wait to

get it (along with several other nice shots).

I find the bird a little distracting, either get him close and sharp enough to be the object of the picture, or leave it out completely.

 

Overall the picture looks a little soft, but that may be the scan.

 

All in all, Beautiful scene, great shot, and I am jealous of anyone who can walk down a beach (landlocked in Colorado)

 

overall a very apealing photo. 2 things bother me, like Ken the bird is troublesome for my eye keeps tracking to it, and the sand wedge created by the angled shot into the surf doesn't sit well with me. I know that you had to shoot that angle to the the break point in the center of the frame, maybe try cropping out the dark sand altogether, more abstract and to me a better look.

Very nice. The bird makes the picture, as I see it... it adds some tension.

What bothers me is the grain, which is very apparent even at this small magnification. Underexposure, perhaps?
