johncrosley 1 Posted March 16, 2005 Is this the much-photographed pea-cock from the San Diego Zoo entrance -- the one that just wanders around? See my single photo folder, current photo. You might have used a little sharpening on the body and the head, as they appear a trifle out of focus (OOF), -- generally in that venue if you're that close you can stop down considerably for a very great depth of field (DOF). If you were using a long telescopic lens, say 200 mm keeping sharp focus from to back may have been more of a problem. However, it seems the front of the head and the feathers (front to back) all seem to be in focus, so I might consider other causes (dirty e.g. partially smudged lens, scanning problems, etc.). Or maybe I'm just too picky . . . Nevertheless, a very striking photo. Peacocks are most photogenic with colors made for color photography, aren't they? Regards, John (Crosley) Link to comment
