The letters say "peace". Thank you all for your comments! He actually dedicated this act to the 60 anniversary of Nazi being defeated.

"De twentsche courant tubantia" a local newspaper. I could not find the picture on their site (www.tctubantia.nl).

The article is about Diab Karim setting out to get the worldrecord 'gettin cold' in Moscow, this stunt is done in a programm around the sixtiest birthday of the Russian victory over the Germans in WW2. MNP means peace.

I usually don't leave comments that don't say anything constructive, but this case i will make an exception.

I saw this on the TV yesterday.

From what I saw on TV I would have shown a bit more of water. You can see it just a bit on the left bottom corner but there were small bits of ice floating all around him. Creepy... :-)

BTW, I thougth MIR meant world and not peace?

Nevertheless, a great foto!

Thank you for your comments, fellow photographers!

MIR means both world and peace in Russian :)

I have many other photos from this event. I will see which one I can put here... (with more of the surroundings)
