Guest Guest Posted March 12, 2005 The composition of the photo is interesting. From the posted image, it is difficult to evaluate the focus. Link to comment
mandar1 0 Posted March 12, 2005 thanks for your comment. Honestly, focus is not the best possible. It was snowing a little bit and took this picture without setting up the tripod in low light. If you look at the picture in the large size it looks OK and you can see the details of the branches. I hope that helps. I am glad you find the composition interesting. Link to comment
c brake 0 Posted March 12, 2005 I think if you cropped the water out and extended the background to infinity, it would give more feeling of isolation. That's assuming of course that the background continues on in a field of snow! Link to comment
mandar1 0 Posted March 14, 2005 Thanks for your comment. I agree with you that it would have been more intersting to extend the background. However, the background had a road and I din't think that would be very interesting. So I cropped it out. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 17, 2005 You were right. I went back again and studied the larger image and it is better. Stark photos do not always lend themselves well to reduced size JPEG images on computer monitors. Link to comment
