matt_brandon 0 Posted April 3, 2002 This, I believe, is one of the most impressive, clean images I have ever seen. The convergence of manmade elements and natural elements is gorgeously captured. So simple, yet so complex and satisfying to me. I have viewed it several times and each time, am excited to find something new that amazes me. Such composition is a true work of art. I can only hope to approach such intelligence with my camera. Thanks. Link to comment

bajasurf 0 Posted January 10, 2009 It was 57 years ago when I visited Fort Jefferson as a young boy. We took a Navy ship out of Key West, Florida for a day of fishing and sightseeing around the fort. If you Google "Fort Jefferson "you will learn that this was a Union Army Prison used during the Civil War between the States. The most (in)famous prisoner incarcerated was Dr. Samuel A. Mudd who set the leg of President Abraham Lincoln´s assassin John Wilkes Booth that he broke when he jumped to the stage from the box President Lincoln and Mrs. Lincoln were occupying. A beautiful photo that brought back memories from years past. . Link to comment
