Just curious what you think. I'm new to shooting bands in clubs and

would like some pointers.

Use fast film and ear plugs (although deaf photographers can still get good images.)

 

This shot is ok, but the guy on the right is blocking his face. Just take lots of shots. I've shot some concerts and it is hard to really know what you have until you get back to the office. It's quantity that will save you.

Oops, I forgot. Get (or make) a press badge and get stage/backstage access. If you can swing that, you'll get a whole different look at things.
