tonys 0 Posted October 9, 2001 Great shot. Annabelle is a cute kid, but you managed to catch the very best of it. Bravo! Link to comment

aappelphotography 0 Posted October 10, 2001 I especially like that she is not looking into the camera, you got her candy side ;) Link to comment
dustinhenry 0 Posted October 10, 2001 Shame on the person who has something harsh to say about this image! It's wonderful that you found a neutral background that lets you focus on her completely. Great DOF, to the extent that you can see a few wild hairs sticking up! My one suggestion, or opinion, is that around her eyes is dodged just ever so slightly. It might not look so bad in color, (as you said you converted it from), but in B&W it looks a bit too dark around her eyes. Link to comment
relu_patrascu 0 Posted October 12, 2001 I second the comment about brightening the shade around her eyes. Then it would just be perfect. I really like this photo. This is the kind of portrait I'm striving for with my own daughter. I hope you framed this one. Link to comment
paul_van_buren 0 Posted October 13, 2001 Hey Mark, I see what you mean by the sharpening effect. It makes a big difference from what I tried to do. How did you get her to stay in one spot long enough. Girls must have a different attention spane then boys. Link to comment
irvine_dude 0 Posted October 16, 2001 Superb shot! Beautiful kid, beautiful angle, beautiful use of tones, and I think most importantly, beautiful use of depth of field. Nice! Very Nice! Thanks for inspiring me to try portraits! Link to comment
erin_owens 0 Posted December 28, 2002 What a cutie! I love the the way she is looking off to the side. It looks very natural. I like how her hands are positioned also. Some of my favorite shots are ones where the subject is looking away from the camera. Well done. Link to comment
