mickl 0 Posted March 9, 2005 Giv, Forgive the question. Are you quite sure that this is Coenagrion. I ask because it does not have the distinctive 'coenagrion spur' (another thinner black strip below the one that you can see on the abdomen).To me it looks more like Enallagma or (less likely) Ischnura. Also forgive me - it's not a dragonfly (Anisoptera), it's a damselfly (Zygoptera) I wouldn't usually bother to make such comments but your photo is quite superb and it deserves to have its value enhanced through a correct identification. I really wish that I had such a picture in my collection. Link to comment
