I like your tone that you used and the vignette. the wrinkles in the background and the angle add to the texture of the whiskers. Also the high light coming down on him lighting the top front of his face and washing down on the sweater give a nice separation to the background by making his shoulders a little darker. Good lighting. The shadow on the dark side are just right.
