It's beautiful and has an athmosphere. I would heev liked to see more of the building and less of the sky.

Keep up the good work!

Excellent composition and good choice with the high iso film. This truly has a classic look to it.

Very nice shot Nicholas, ? why the lines in the shot did you use a filter with this.

I think it is very well set. so well done to you.

Thanks Richard,

I used a K2 Yellow filter. I think the lines that you refer to are artifact due to the scan. I haddn't noticed them before. When I have some time, I'll rescan the image and resubmit it!

Regards, Nick.

That is an amazing looking place. I agree with Jul about getting closer and I think your close up shot has more impact than the original upload.

Nick, this reminds me a bit of pictures in social studies books when I was in elementary school. That said, I'm glad that you posted it, and especially the other one from the gardens.

This photo has a very traditional look about it, but perhaps that is appropriate when one is posting a picture of the parliament building on the banks of the Danube.

I took a similar picture recently, but yours expresses something a little more.

Great shot Eamon!

Thanks for dropping by, I'm glad that you liked my version, but yours has something to say about the great colours of the building. - I didn't have any colour film!

Regards, Nick.

i liked this and have a question which is not a criticism but merely for the sake of knowing; why did you choose to include quite so much sky and river?? i would not have dared to be so bold, which is probably a failing of mine own

Your question is by no way a critisism, and you indeed have a valid point. I myself do have a tendancy to over crop my images, but here I felt that the expance of river and sky added a certain ubiety to this stately building.

Regards, Nick.
