chris_kuettner 0 Posted March 6, 2005 We just happened on this old dry fountain at a local hotel as we traveled to a shooting location. Link to comment
michael_hansen3 0 Posted March 6, 2005 Bright colors and good skin tones. I'd shift the camera angle to get the dolphin away from her head, and then open your aperture as wide as possible to blur out those remaining distracting elements. Good head positioning and a nice, flattering pose for this person. NO rating. Link to comment
davidmalcolmson 0 Posted March 7, 2005 There are a couple of things that would have improved this greatly. For a start, get rid of that bird! - a distraction of the first oerder. Pose your model more comfortable - her knees betray a certain dicomfort with the situation.Photograph the lady further away from the background and use a shallow depth of field to separate her from the background. Last of all wait till the light is more interesting - it is rather insipid here. Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted March 7, 2005 Great portrait [and very Florida], but for me the statue, as presented in the background is distracting. I can understand why you took, your photograph here, as the counterpoint in the colour and composition is fantastic; however, if you were to include the dolphin, why not include it in it's entirety? darrenmambo 0 Posted March 9, 2005 The red and the blue could do so much for each other if only there was some seperation... And it would cure that dolphin growing out of her shoulder. :) I'd also suggest a shallower depth of field - Blur out the leaves in the background to avoid having disatracting detail and you'd have a red/green/blue triumverate. Great smile on the model too! Link to comment
chris_kuettner 0 Posted March 12, 2005 You guys are right....the dolphin didn't work out quite like I wanted. Unfortunately, I was shooting with a "slow" lens and was already as wide open as possible. On the positive side, she used several shots from the shoot including this one to land a contract with a local retail outlet. As always, all comments are much appreciated. That's how we all grow and develop our skills. Link to comment
