FilmPhotography-DuaneHorne 0 Posted March 7, 2005 Nicely done. This is a phenominal image. Could you see the nebula with the naked eye, or, could only the media capture it? Did you employ prime or afocal focusing? I have a 1200mm f11 schmidt casselgrain reflector and am interested in doing more astrophotography. A little something more than moon shots. Any tips? john_baker8 0 Posted March 8, 2005 Duane, Yes you can see M42 with the naked eye or a pair of binoculars. You cannot see the red color but you can make out the grayish nebulocity.
