ranjith pallegama 0 Posted March 6, 2005 Although I am not sure about others opinion, I think the adult lady's attention on the photographer harm the poetic value of this image. Otherwise, excellent capture and processing. Ranjith Link to comment

harnstrom1 0 Posted March 6, 2005 Moody and I wonder what the story is behind this. I'm not so sure that the woman pays attention to the photographer. Is the train coming? Regards Link to comment

jeffreyteague 0 Posted March 6, 2005 The rails seem to propel the little group out toward the viewer. Beautiful colors, warm and soft on cold steel and broken rock. Link to comment
laura2 0 Posted March 6, 2005 I disagree about the woman looking directly at the photographer. I think when she looks directly at the camera, you see her understanding of her and her kids' situation. It looks like she's saying to the viewer "What the hell are you looking at? Isn't it enough to see us suffer?" I love the gradient of light to dark...and how they walk to the dark side...very powerfully done. Link to comment
jmcconnell2 0 Posted March 7, 2005 Puts me in mind of the 1930`s depression era, the subdued color works well here, I think the woman should be looking downward toward the child on her right, 7/7 Link to comment
James Kazan 17 Posted March 7, 2005 Wow! This has the feel of hand painted black and whites from the past. Link to comment
