single photos Landing on Lake St-Peter

Kim, interesting shot. I tried to analyze those traces left on the snow and I think they do not belong to that landing plane. Anyway, this is an excellent shot with great composition and tonal range. Nicely done.

Those tracks belong to a truck or one of those ATVs. Thanks for supportive comment and for your nice rating.

On a fine Sunday morning, my honey suggested we go for a flight. A

couple of hours west of Montreal is where we headed and landed on the

frozen lake. What a hoot!!! The picture shows the plane parked in

front of our cottage. We took off to go back home a few minutes after

this photo was taken.

Thank you Cherlyn. Those tones were were added afterwards by me. It wasn't actualy that dark out yet.

At the first glance, I thought it was an emergency landing. The footprints belong to the pilot. ok, enough of that. Kim, Very beautiful sunset and nice composition. I like it a lot. lol

Glad you like my photo. Sorry to scare you ! It was not an emergency landing at all. The conditions have to be perfect and that happens once every few years. Thick smooth ice and no snow accumulation and oh ya, a good flying day.

Here is a picture I took while "on final" for the landing on the lake. All the tracks on the snow are from snowmobiles.

This golden atmosphere gives your photo a great effect. Terrific colors and light, congrats !

amazing Kim - when I compare yuor first images on PN and these ones, there are HUGE huge huge x a billion improvements. You have a nack for seeing the best in nature as well as a nack for being at that spot at the best possible time to take the photo. Great stuff. 7/6
