leepix 0 Posted March 4, 2005 My friend Udo Kier sat for me. I tried for the penetrating look he gets with his eyes. I could use some tips on how to make this better. I shot this at a slow shutter speed trying to capture the lighting in the room. It seemed perfect to me in this spot. Link to comment
theokeijzers 0 Posted March 4, 2005 I like it. His face looks perfect for portraiture and you captured his look very well. The low shutter speed makes this somehow dynamic. Well done, congrats. Link to comment
michaelhills 0 Posted March 7, 2005 Lee, excellent composition. Your technique, together with Udo's strong features makes for a great portrait. The only suggestion I would make is that it is slightly out of focus. I guess that is the sacrifice you have to make for using a slower shutter speed? Also, I wonder what the composition would look like in B&W although that would negate his startling coloured eyes... M Link to comment
