please offer suggestions on capturing these beautiful landmarks

I see two things that might improve the final print:

 

* The image seems to slope a bit to the right. You can see some lean in the lighthouse itself.

* The colors are striking but there is a slight cyan/blue cast (common to this time of day).

 

Attached is a quick & dirty alignment and color tweak to show you what I mean.

 

Notwithstanding the above, this is a striking image. Nice work!

Nice perspective!

I like this the most in your portfolio, a very nice mood in this photo. Straightening is a good idea, but I like the colors as they are, as it creates just the right mood. The mist, opposite shore and rays of light really make the photo. I'd be interested to see how the scene looks with a wider lens, but it might not be as good as this, just a thought.
