david latza 0 Posted March 6, 2005 LOve the muted tones and slight "painterly" effect. Link to comment
tana_minnick 0 Posted March 7, 2005 This is absolutely beautiful. I have spent the last ten minutes staring at it, envisioning her turning and walking up the lane, her dress flowing all 'round her....and wondering how the heck you did it. Can you share? You have inspired me. Link to comment
lissahatcher 0 Posted March 7, 2005 How I did this....I used three images to make this one. one is a close up of a statue for the texture you see, one of my favorit tricks..Lots of playing with the levels to get everything right . The orginal shoot with the dress was fun, it is a tank top and my daughters canopy from her bed...I wanted drama and dresses like this cost way to much money. Link to comment

matthew leong 0 Posted March 16, 2005 from a photographic perspective I don't fancy this, however from a creative artist perspective this is full marks! Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted May 3, 2007 Fine work. Here's a case where heavy post-processing has contributed. Very rare. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 3, 2007 Nice work! I agree that the butterfly is distracting. It almost looks like it was photoshoped. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 3, 2007 ...also, Lissa, you have an exceptional portfolio and the design is far better than most. This composite is great but your work as a whole is even better. I say this as somebody who genuinely dislikes wedding photos :-) Link to comment
carriebender 0 Posted February 18, 2008 I really like this. She looks as though she is floating - it draws you in. Great job! Link to comment
john_hugens 0 Posted February 18, 2008 This is a very pretty picture but consider the use of color on the butterfly. Using selective colors can be very powerful. However, given the title of the picture, and its overall mood, a very subtle coloration of the butterfly, or perhaps none at all, would have led this picture to a greater emotional impact AFTER the viewer notices the parallel ephemeral qualities of the young girl and insect. A very good image, but consider other's use of selective color, or any artistic tool before using it. Art does not exist in a vacuum, and your emotional content is affected adversely by millions of wedding photographers and Hallmark cards with little kids and roses. Very good image though.
